Favorite distance: 50 mile, they are long enough to really push you but short enough that you aren’t going into another day
Favorite Workout: mile repeats or pyramid intervals
Favorite Race: Plain100, it is a back to the basics 100miler where runners need to be self sufficient. No trail marking, only one aid station. It is a little less about speed and more about knowing how to take care of yourself.
Upcoming events: currently none, recovering from knee surgery and hoping to get in a few marathons toward the end of the year.
Skirt Praise: Running skirts are incredibly comfortable to wear. The wide waist band sits at the perfect spot below the belly button and doesn’t dig into your stomach. The pockets are easy to retrieve gels or other necessities from and the range of styles should work for everyone. The original style, with standard liner, feels much like familiar shorts except no fabric between your legs to cause scratching or chafing. The longer inner shorts and tights styles are great for colder weather.
And, bonus, the skirts are incredibly cute. There is no end of fabric choices so I can wear a different skirt to almost every race. I get comments about them wherever I wear them!
