Dear RunningSkirts Family,Twenty years ago, RunningSkirts began with a simple belief: women deserved performance apparel that made them feel strong, confident, and uniquely themselves.
What started as one woman's idea grew into a community of runners, walkers, racers, mothers, daughters, friends, and adventurers who have inspired us every single day. Because of you, RunningSkirts became so much more than a product...it became a movement.
Today, we need to share something deeply personal.
Like many small businesses, we've faced challenges over the past several years that have become increasingly difficult to overcome. As a women-owned business operating in one of the country's most expensive states, we've worked tirelessly to keep our team employed, continue designing products we believe in, and keep the lights on.
Despite our best efforts, we've reached a point where we need to make some difficult decisions.
Beginning today, we are liquidating our current inventory while we evaluate how RunningSkirts can be restructured into a sustainable business for the future.
This is not the ending we ever imagined, and we don't yet know exactly what the next chapter looks like. What we do know is that the community you've helped build over the past 20 years deserves every opportunity for RunningSkirts to continue in some form.
To help make that possible, every purchase made during this inventory liquidation directly supports our efforts to navigate this transition.
If you've been thinking about purchasing a favorite skirt, replacing a well-loved style, or picking up a piece you've always wanted, now is the time. Once styles and sizes are gone, they may not return.
More than anything, we simply want to say thank you.
Thank you for every race you've run in RunningSkirts.
Thank you for every finish-line photo you've shared.
Thank you for every recommendation to a friend.
Thank you for believing in a small, women-owned business for the past two decades.
You've allowed us to be part of your stories, and that has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives.
As we work through this transition, we'll continue to keep you informed. We remain hopeful that this isn't goodbye, but rather the beginning of a new chapter built on a stronger, more sustainable foundation.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Cindy & Christy
